GF-6 is the name of the next-generation standard developed by the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) for passenger car engine oils, aimed at meeting the needs of modern engine technology. Shell Lubricants will provide drivers with engine oil that meets the new ILSAC GF-6 standard from the date of its first launch on May 1st.
